How many pieces are in the kit?
Wahl call it a 9-piece kit. In the box: the mains clipper, four guide combs (grades 1 to 4, about 3mm to 13mm), a styling comb, barber scissors, a bottle of blade oil, a cleaning brush and a blade guard.
What comb lengths do I get?
Four clip-on guide combs from 3mm to 13mm, plus a thumb-adjustable taper lever to fine-tune the length in between.
Is it corded or cordless?
Corded. It runs off the mains on a UK plug, so there is no battery to charge or run flat mid-cut.
Can I do a full haircut with it?
Yes. It is a full home haircutting kit: the guide combs handle the back and sides and the taper lever blends it in.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. The combs clip straight on for an even length all over, so it is straightforward for cutting your own or the family's hair.
Does it need oiling?
A little. There is a bottle of blade oil in the box, and a few drops on the blades now and then keeps them running smoothly.
